The palate is austere, vinous and rustic, sweet yet also gently acidic and tart, with pronounced tannins. Overall, the wine is harmonious.

It is well suited to juicy, intensely flavoured dishes such as grilled or roast meat, as well as mature cheese.

The floral bouquet carries notes of red fruit, especially cherries and raspberries.

The colour is an intense, fairly deep and glossy ruby red with a few violet highlights. Rubacuori is supplied in a 25-litre returnable metal keg for professional draught service.
